ACCOMMODATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
a) All reservations are subject to availability.
b) Reservations may be amended as requested by guests, provided that accommodation is available on the new dates. Guests agree to price increases as per seasonal charges when changing their reservation dates.
c) A 50% deposit of the total amount is payable to secure the reservation.
d) A reservation is deemed “confirmed” once the guest submits evidence of proof of payment to reservations@oldpottersinn.co.za; alternatively, if the guest made an online reservation and paid by card, the reservation is deemed “confirmed” once the deposit has been paid to Double Quick Properties by the online booking platform and reflects on the organization’s bank statement.
e) Double Quick Properties reserves the right to offer reserved accommodation to other guests if the deposit is not paid by the specified due date and to cancel any reservation where the payment requirements have not been honoured.
f) The balance of payment is payable once a link is sent to the guest for a credit card payment; should the guest have an arrangement in writing to the contrary, the balance may be paid on the check-in date, directly at the premises.
g) Reservations may be cancelled up to 7 (seven) days prior to the check-in date, provided that this is done in writing to reservations@oldpottersinn.co.za; in instances where reservations are made online through booking platforms such as AirBnB, Booking,com, etc., the guest is responsible to cancel the reservation directly.
h) Refunds will be processed within a 7 (seven) day period after the cancellation has been received and will be subject to banking fees and commissions as charged by the relevant booking channels. An administration fee of a up to 5% will also be applicable to any refunds paid.
i) Deposits for reservations which are cancelled less than 7 (seven) days prior to check-in will not be refunded.
j) Children (aged sixteen and younger) and pets are not permitted in any of the accommodation.
k) Check-in is from 14:00 to 17:00 on Mondays and Tuesdays and from 14:00 onwards for the remainder of the week. Check-out is at 10:00. Late check-outs are subject to availability and will carry an additional charge.
l) The alarm system is activated at 23:00 and de-activated at 06:00 daily. Guests who plan on entering/exiting the premises between 23:00 and 06:00 must ensure that they have arranged to do so in advance.
m) Guests are responsible for the safekeeping of all their personal items, valuables and vehicles whilst they are on the premises. Items left behind by guests will only be kept for a period of two months. Guests must arrange to collect personal items at their own cost.
n) Guests will be held responsible for any incidentals, including (but not limited to):
• Lost room keys;
• Damage to any fixture, fitting, equipment, art, linen or any other item provided in the room/cottage, and;
• Loss of any fixture, fitting, equipment, art, linen or any other item provided in the room/cottage.
o) Incidentals will be charged after the check-out date and will be payable (without offset) by the guest on presentation of an invoice by Double Quick Properties, failing which, Double Quick Properties shall proceed through whichever channels are deemed necessary for the recovery of charges, including (but not limited to) the registration of cases with SAPS.
p) Double Quick Properties accepts no liability for any theft of and/or damage caused to the guest’s personal belongings, as well as any motor vehicle(s) brought onto the premises by the guest(s).
q) Guests are required to observe all statutory and regulatory requirements of the Republic of South Africa, as well as all bylaws and any other policy which may be applicable to the premises.
r) If asked to adhere to a specific policy (i.e. observing the rules of usage of the pool), guests must comply, as failure to do so may result in the immediate cancellation of the reservation.
s) Should a guest behave inappropriately in any manner so as to inconvenience personnel, other guests or any member of the public, his/her/their reservation will be cancelled with immediate effect and he/she/they will be reported to the relevant booking platform (if applicable). In such an instance, the guest will not be entitled to any refund (or portion thereof) of their accommodation fee.
